We make travel information searching as simple as flight or hotel booking

FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS

#1 Problem

IN FACT, NOBODY PROVIDES GLOBAL INFORMATION SUPPORT FOR 1.5 BILLION INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS

American, British, and Canadian travelers visit 120 to 160 travel sites before booking a trip, 72% are researching destinations. Prior to booking, they visit an average of 290 total websites across multiple devices over a 45-day period. [Expedia]

Furthermore, counter-intuitively, travel sites don’t make it easy to plan a trip. Most travel websites “are optimized for conversion, not for planning”. [askwonder.com]

A study conducted by Expedia found that 68% of travelers using a search engine to research destinations. That percentage drops precipitously to just 8% when travelers get to the booking stage. Everyone knows where to look for hotels or flights.

#2 Solution

GLOBAL TRAVEL DIRECTORY FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURISM

ONE WEBSITE / APP

  • TOURIST INFORMATION

  • All countries & cities.

  • Attractions & events.

  • Public transport.

  • Visa Requirements.

  • Government websites.

1.5 billion international tourist arrivals were recorded in 2019, globally [unwto.org]. Every day, millions of tourists spend time searching for exactly the same information. Any tourist outside age, religion, gender and education asks the same questions. The next day, everything repeats.

Just 15% of travelers said they used deal-based websites during the research process, and only 13% said they used travel-guide websites. Guides are not needed, simple and practically useful information is needed.

Google data shows that travel related searches which include ‘tonight’ and ‘today’ have grown by more than 519% in the past five years. [condorferries.co.uk]

#3 Business model

We want to get 1.5 billion international tourists instead of 1.5 billion dollars. Because 1.5 billion international tourists spend at least $1.7 trillion

#1 OUR PRODUCT

Global travel directory for international tourists.

  • TOURIST INFORMATION

  • All countries & cities.

  • Attractions & events.

  • Public transport.

  • Visa Requirements.

  • Government websites.

The directory is created once. We do not depend on anyone and do not pay anyone from the outside.

#2 USERS

We give information and get the tourists. Organic traffic is reduced advertising costs.

  • 100% of international tourists search for information using search engines.

We are the only one to provide global travel information without search engines, Wikipedia and reviews like Tripadvisor.

#3 MONEY

We give tourists and get the money.

  • SERVICES FOR TOURISTS

*We do not pay attention to the details of earning money on affiliate programs, because 80.8% of customers abandon their booking on travel websites. [trekksoft.com] We have another solution.

+ API SERVICE

The same directory without any additional work.

  • TOURIST INFORMATION

  • All countries & cities.

  • Attractions & events.

  • Public transport.

  • Visa Requirements.

  • Government websites.

We provide a ready-made solution for informational support of users.

  • *Nearly 9 out of 10 travelers expect their travel provider to share relevant information while they are on their trip. [Google]

  • 76% of travelers use social media while traveling.

There is a trend of instagrammable places, and geolocation tags for photos. But information pages are completely useless.

#4 Underlying magic

We have tried to automate the process of creating an information catalog, but this is not possible. We consulted with developers, including Eugene Hurynovich, founder of the Parsers startup.

This is why we spend so much effort manually creating a catalog. The good news is that this job only needs to be done once.

#1 ALL INFORMATION FOR THE DIRECTORY IS COLLECTED MANUALLY

We are the only one to provide global travel information without search engines, Wikipedia and reviews like Tripadvisor.

#2 FOR TOURISTS

  • We provide verified information. Additionally, official sources of information are indicated.

  • One app for any trip. Answers in two clicks.

#3 FOR BUSINESS

  • We provide a ready-made solution for informational support of users.

  • We provide the most targeted audience, which only can exist.

#5 How do tourists know about us?

SEARCH ENGINES

100% of international tourists search for information using search engines. In fact, there is no global provider of tourism information in the existing travel market.

We launched 3 sites with the help of which we tested hypotheses and collected analytical data, as well as studied search engine optimization for Google and Yandex.

+ SOCIAL NETWORKING SERVICE

76% of travelers use social media while traveling. While researching online, leisure travelers turn to social platforms not only for vacation inspiration, but also to share their own travel experiences with friends and family.

+ We have an original solution for social media promotion and collaboration with opinion leaders in the tourism industry.

NO INFORMATION SUPPORT FOR TOURISTS

FOR TOURISTS

Everyone thinks that Google provides information support. In fact, for every 100 searches typed into the internet, 88 flow through Google (sourse). But Google is just a search engine, an aggregator of information. Google can not make the information better than the information on the original sites.

“People don’t just want faster access to information—they want better, more personalized experiences,” said Oliver Heckmann, Google’s VP of engineering for travel and shopping. “If I were to pull out my phone and search for a nearby hotel or restaurant, I’d expect the information I find to be tailored to me based on my location, time of day, and maybe even past interests,” he said.

What does it really look like?

FOR TRAVEL COMPANIES

May 14, 2019 Google has taken a huge next step [google.com/travel/], putting all the pieces together, by including flights, hotels, packages, and trip-planning tools on a edicated website and in Google Search and Google Maps. Google’s foothold in travel just got even larger. [skift.com]

‘The status quo isn’t working for travel sellers or consumers. For things to change, booking sites and travel providers need to adopt new methods of not just attracting but retaining customers.

If things don’t change, Google’s power in the sector will come to dominate the narrative of the travel industry over the next decade.’ [skift.com]

“The hospitality industry has a patented four-step method to deal with disruption,” says Robert Cole, founder and CEO of Rock Cheetah. “Step one is to ignore it. Step two is that when it’s pointed out to them, they continue to ignore it. Step three is they panic, and step four is they complain about it.”

NO INFORMATION SUPPORT FOR TOURISTS

It’s okay if you are interested in the opinion of outsiders.

Created in 2000, TripAdvisor built its brand on the trademark “World’s most trusted travel site”. But after countless lawsuits in multiple countries, by 2013 TripAdvisor quietly removed the words “trusted” as well “honest” from all of its website marketing (now it’s just the “World’s largest travel site”).

NO INFORMATION SUPPORT FOR TOURISTS

Wikipedia is a free, multilingual online encyclopedia. Wikivoyage is a free web-based travel guide for travel destinations and travel topics written by volunteer authors. Wikitravel is a web-based collaborative travel guide based on the wiki model.

The retailing juggernaut in 2015 had added hotel listings to Amazon Local, a daily deals platform, and then launched a dedicated hotel booking platform called Destinations. After expanding Destinations to 35 cities within a matter of months, Amazon unceremoniously shut down the service without warning and later pulled the plug on Amazon Local. The company offered no explanation other than to say it had “learned a lot” from the experience, leaving many industry analysts scratching their heads.

So far, Amazon has only dipped its pinky toe into the travel waters but there’s some evidence – and intense speculation – that something bigger is coming.

Amazon will not provide information support for tourists, in any case.

#8 How to make lemonade from lemon?

Before the pandemic, this page had a great plan to take over the world. Now we have begun to pay more attention to the factors of the tourism market, which we can use to our advantage.

All these trillions of dollars are generated by ordinary people who want relaxation and experience.

Instead of building apps and websites with a fanatical focus on traveler experience, online travel agencies have embraced confusion and pressure as a guiding ethos. Aggressive advertising and the imposition of services in ways that deceive users.

HOW WE USE IT

We are the only one to provide global travel information without search engines, Wikipedia and reviews like Tripadvisor.

ADVERTISING EXPENSES OF TRAVEL COMPANIES

Google took in $7.2 billion in revenue from travel advertisers globally in the 12 months that ended September 30, 2019. Some $5.8 billion of that total came from Booking Holdings and Expedia Group. [skift.com]

In February and March 2020, GetYourGuide spent over $4.7 million in advertising on Google’s platforms.

Google has a 90% market share on search engine traffic in Europe and more than 75% of travelers in Europe consult Google before they travel. [cnbc.com]

Google fined $2.7 B for EU antitrust violations over shopping searches [techcrunch.com]

HOW WE USE IT

We intend to become the #1 service for international tourists where they start looking for tourist information. In addition, we are not a competitor to anyone. We provide the most targeted audience, which only can exist.

OVERTOURISM

Tourists visit the same cities and the same attractions in cities. Each country has 2-3 cities that take 50-80 percent of all international tourists. The top 10 destinations receive 40% of worldwide arrivals. [UNWTO]

HOW WE USE IT

This initially helps to reduce the amount of data in the information catalog.

#9 Status and timeline

So far, all companies have spent money on advertising and engaged in aggressive sales. We have created what every tourist needs

WHAT IS ALREADY DONE?

Now about 1200 descriptions are ready. The website wantsee.world has been open to visitors since 2019.

We are now launching the English version. The site is under construction, the design has not been completed, the process of transferring the Russian version to a subdomain is in progress. There shouldn’t be any visitors, but they are, about 3000 visitors a month.

Catalog in Russian > rus.wantsee.world. Geography of users: Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Germany, USA, France, Great Britain, Latvia, Israel.

WHAT SHOULD BE DONE?

  • Requires 5300 descriptions.

  • Development of a software environment for catalog management.

  • Translation of the information catalog into English, Spanish and Chinese.

We expect to complete everything planned in 18 months.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ADDITIONAL $120,000

#10 Summary

WE HAVE ALL OPPORTUNITIES TO BECOME THE # 1 SERVICE FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURISM

People (tourists) are the main asset of the project, initially and forever. The tourism market may change. Business models, processes, laws can change, new booking services appear and disappear. But people will always travel and seek tourist information.

WE DO NOT DO A HUMANITARIAN PROJECT. WITH THE HELP OF INFORMATION SUPPORT WE PLAN TO CAPTURE ALL TOURISTS.

If you are sure that hotels and flights are not the main goal of international tourism. If you understand why we want to be in every tourist’s gadget.
