Scenic Highlights: The road offers breathtaking views of the rugged coastline, dramatic cliffs, crashing waves, and numerous small islands. There are several viewpoints along the way where you can stop, take photos, and enjoy the picturesque surroundings.

Bridges and Viaducts: The Atlantic Ocean Road features a series of bridges and viaducts that connect the islands, creating a unique driving experience. The most iconic bridge is the Storseisundet Bridge (map), which appears to curve dramatically as you approach it.

Plan Sufficient Time: While the drive itself takes around 20 minutes, it’s recommended to allow extra time for stops, photos, and exploring the viewpoints along the road.

Nearby Attractions: There are other attractions in the area worth visiting, such as the nearby fishing village of Bud (map), the picturesque town of Kristiansund (map), and the stunning Trollstigen mountain road (map).
